Joan Rivers’ pampered pooch, Spike, lapped water from a silver Tiffany water bowl — and it will go on the auction block at Christie’s for only $800.
The Rockefeller Plaza auction house announced Tuesday that more than 200 of Rivers’ possessions worth some $1.3 million will go under the hammer on June 22.
Christie’s said the collection represents an “exquisite assortment of personal pieces” from Rivers’ Manhattan penthouse, including some of her finest jewels and French furniture from the Versailles-style home on East 62nd Street off Fifth Avenue.
“The auction celebrates her elegance and collecting style,” Rivers’ daughter, Melissa, said in a statement.
“There is something to suit every taste and budget.” One of the lot’s most personalized items belonged to Rivers’ cherished Yorkie, Spike, whom she credited with saving her life when she had suicidal thoughts after her husband, Edgar, killed himself.
